In the IELTS exam, there are 4 tests - 1. Listening  2. Reading  3. Writing  4. Speaking 
The reading and the writing tests are unique for the academic and the general training modules. In this video, we shall understand what you should do in order to write a very good structure for the LINE GRAPH. 
In the IELTS academic writing test, there are two tasks. Task 1 is a report and task 2 is an essay. There are various types of reports.

Before starting to write the report, you should understand the overview of how the test would contain. Here's the link for the same.


While writing the line graph, you should remember several points.
1. YOU SHOULD SUMMARIZE THE MAIN POINTS.
2. INTERPRET THE DATA CORRECTLY, SINCE MISINTERPRETATION WOULD LEAD TO A DECREASE IN THE SCORE.
3. YOU NEED TO AVOID DESCRIBING EVERYTHING.
4. THE SIGNIFICANT POINTS SHOULD BE EXPLAINED CLEARLY.
5. IT IS ADVISABLE TO USE USE COLLOCATIONS WHILE DESCRIBING THE LINE GRAPH.
6. BEGIN THE RESPONSE BY PARAPHRASING THE GIVEN PROMPT.
7. AVOID REPEATING THE SAME WORDS AS GIVEN IN THE QUESTION. USE SYNONYMS.
8. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, DO NOT WRITE YOUR OPINION.
