IELTS WRITING TASK 1 BAR CHART (BAR GRAPH)




There are two tasks in the IELTS writing test. Both the tasks should be completed within one hour of time.

1. Report - You will get around 20 minutes to finish this task.

2. Essay - This is the second task. Approximately 40 minutes will be given to write the essay.
There are different kinds of reports, and it highly advisable to practice all the kinds of reports before taking the final test.

d. Process / flow - chart
e. Table
f. Map
g. Life cycle
h. Combinations

In this video, we shall try to analyse and understand how to write a detailed report of a bar chart. Here, we shall understand what to remember while writing the bar chart, how to analyse the bar chart that is given, and how to compare and contrast when two bar charts are given. To write a bar chart, you should 
1. Read the title and paraphrase it properly.
2. Interpret what the graph is all about.
3.Use collocations while explaining the trends.
4. Avoid writing your opinion. It is not required. 
5. The overview is very important. Do not write any statistical figures in this paragraph.
