IELTS WRITING TASK 2 ESSAY - CAUSES AND EFFECTS (CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS)

In the IELTS writing section, there are two tasks. The second task is where you have to write an essay. There are a total of 9 essay types, and all these question types are very important and have to be learned and understood. IN this video, we are going to learn the easiest and a standard method to write the INTRODUCTION paragraph for the essay type WHAT ARE THE CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS?

In this essay, as given in the question prompt, we need to state at least two causes and suggest two solutions/effects for the problem that is being discussed.
Follow these steps while writing the introduction:
1. Start the Introduction paragraph by rewriting the question in your own words without changing its meaning. This is called PARAPHRASING. To learn the various ways of paraphrasing, click the link.
2. Always write the THESIS statement, in which you will be stating what are the reasons for a given problem and what could be the possible solutions to solve the problem.
3. Do not separate the introduction into individual sentences. Group them and write them as a paragraph.
4. Writing the GENERAL OUTLINE statement is not mandatory. You may skip it if you wish to.
