Use of Preposition in English




The International English Language Testing System, which is commonly known as the IELTS test is used to assess your ability to use the English language confidently and accurately. For doing so, you should have a clarity on several basic concepts in the language, and one example for this is PARTS OF SPEECH.
There are 8 parts of speech.
1. NOUNS
2.PRONOUNS
3.VERBS
4. ADVERBS
5. ADJECTIVES
6. PREPOSITIONS
7. CONJUNCTIONS
8. INTERJECTIONS.

In this video, we will learn what prepositions are, and what is their significance in enhancing your overall test score. 
Let us begin by understanding the importance of Grammar in the IELTS test.

For the Writing and the speaking tests, there are several factors which determine your overall test score in these sections of the test. These grading criteria are known as BAND DESCRIPTORS.

The band descriptors for Writing task 1:

4. Coherence and cohesion.
For the IELTS writing task 2, the band descriptors are

4. Task achievement

Likewise, for the speaking test evaluation, the band descriptors are

3. Fluency and coherence
4. Pronunciation
